Munich holds a special place in my heart. Our beloved Kreb family lives in Munich and 3 generations have been traveling between Munich and California for over 50 years. This trip was quick but we had a wonderful family-friendly afternoon playing in the Isar River, enjoying a meal at a Biergarten, and discovering one of the best playgrounds ever! If you are looking for family-friendly fun in Munich, I highly recommend these activities which are all within walking distance of each other. Extra points if you get there on a bike!
The swimming spot in the Isar River is down the path from Zum Flaucher Biergarten. You can swim and sunbathe before heading to Zum Flaucher Biergarten for delicious food and beer. After stuffing your bellies with pretzels, schnitzel, and Witbier head to the Spielplatz Zum Flaucher! I promise you and your children will have the best time.
